Tholsel Disabled Access Ramp Wins a 2011 Access Louth Award
Brady Hughes Consulting recently project managed a €330,000 refurbishment of the historic 18th century Tholsel Building in Drogheda, Co. Louth. Included in the refurbishment was the provision of a disabled access ramp, this has contributed to making the building more accessable to the public. This contribution has been recognised by the Louth Community & Voluntary Forum; People with Dissabilities in Ireland; Irish Wheelchair Association; Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Ireland and Louth Age Friendly County which has awarded The Tholsel in recognition of its accessibility to people with disabilities.
We would like to thank The Drogheda Borough Council who accepted the award at the Access Louth Awards 2011. We would also like to thank all involed in the design and construction of the diasabled access ramp to The Tolsel, Emmet Humphries MRIAI of EHAdr, Eamon G. Murphy Contractors, Ronan Halpin Sculptor and Caffrey Stone.
